IMPORTANT WARNING

Rebounding and the use of mini-trampoline equipment involve a risk of falling, loss of balance, collision, strains, sprains, fractures, head or spinal injury, other serious bodily injury and, in extreme circumstances, death.

Please read this Notice before purchasing, assembling or using your Jump Rebounding product.

By purchasing, assembling, permitting another person to use, or using a Jump Rebounding product, you acknowledge that you have had an adequate opportunity to read and understand this Notice and voluntarily accept the ordinary and inherent risks associated with rebounding, subject always to your non-waivable rights under South African law.


1. Intended Use

This product is intended for controlled private household fitness and recreational use in accordance with the supplied instructions.

Users must:

  • Use the rebounder on a dry, stable, level, non-slip surface.
  • Ensure adequate clear space around and above the rebounder.
  • Never exceed the stated maximum user weight.
  • Allow only one person on the rebounder at any time.
  • Never perform flips, somersaults, acrobatics or stunts.
  • Never use the product while damaged, unstable, incorrectly assembled or incomplete.
  • Never modify the product or use unapproved replacement parts or accessories.


2. Children and Vulnerable Users

Children must never be left unsupervised on, near or with access to Jump Rebounding equipment.

A competent adult must directly supervise any child using the rebounder.

The supervising adult is responsible for:

  • Enforcing one-user-only operation.
  • Preventing rough play or unsafe use.
  • Preventing children from climbing underneath the rebounder.
  • Ensuring the rebounder is stored safely when not in use.

The purchaser is responsible for communicating all safety instructions to anyone permitted to use the product.


3. Health and Medical Precautions

Consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning a rebounding programme if you:

  • are pregnant;
  • have a cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, bone, joint or muscular condition;
  • have balance problems;
  • have recently undergone surgery;
  • are recovering from injury;
  • have a history of dizziness, fainting or seizures;
  • take medication affecting coordination or heart rate; or
  • have been advised to limit physical activity.

Stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, unusual shortness of breath or any concerning symptoms.

Jump Rebounding does not provide medical advice and any fitness information supplied is not a substitute for professional medical assessment.


4. Assembly and Safe Setup

Assembly must be completed by a competent adult following the supplied instructions.

During assembly:

  • Keep fingers and hands clear of springs, folding joints and locking mechanisms.
  • Ensure all legs, locks, fasteners and accessories are securely installed before use.
  • Maintain safe clearance from walls, furniture, stairs, sharp objects, glass and other hazards.

Where supplied, the handlebar is intended only as a balance aid and must not be used to support full body weight unless specifically stated in the product instructions.


5. Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect your rebounder before every use.

Check:

  • the frame;
  • jumping mat;
  • springs or suspension system;
  • legs;
  • locking mechanisms;
  • spring cover;
  • fasteners; and
  • handlebar (if fitted).

Do not use the rebounder if any component is loose, bent, cracked, torn, excessively stretched, corroded, unstable or otherwise damaged.

Replace worn or damaged components before further use.


6. Safe Use

Users should:

  • Exercise within their own fitness and balance ability.
  • Stay near the centre of the jumping mat.
  • Wear suitable clothing.
  • Secure loose hair and jewellery.
  • Keep pets, liquids and sharp objects away from the rebounder.

Never:

  • use while impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication affecting coordination;
  • allow more than one user at a time;
  • bounce from furniture onto the rebounder;
  • use near pools, stairs, balconies or traffic areas.


7. Assumption of Risk

Physical exercise and rebounding involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, even when equipment is properly manufactured, assembled, maintained and used.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, purchasers and users voluntarily assume these ordinary and inherent risks.

This does not apply to harm caused by unsafe or defective goods, inadequate instructions or warnings, gross negligence, intentional misconduct or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.


8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Movement Manoeuvres (Pty) Ltd trading as Jump Rebounding, together with its directors, employees, contractors, distributors, agents and resellers, will not be liable for injury, death, loss or damage resulting from:

  • misuse or abuse;
  • failure to follow instructions;
  • incorrect assembly;
  • inadequate maintenance;
  • failure to inspect the product;
  • use while damaged or incomplete;
  • exceeding the maximum user weight;
  • allowing multiple users simultaneously;
  • unsupervised use by children;
  • medically inappropriate use;
  • unsuitable installation or surroundings;
  • unauthorised modifications or repairs; or
  • negligent or unlawful conduct by the purchaser, user or any third party.

Nothing in this Notice excludes or limits liability for unsafe or defective goods, inadequate safety instructions, gross negligence, intentional misconduct or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.


9. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, purchasers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Movement Manoeuvres (Pty) Ltd trading as Jump Rebounding, together with its directors, employees, contractors, agents, distributors and resellers, against third-party claims arising from:

  • misuse of the product;
  • failure to follow instructions;
  • failure to supervise children;
  • unauthorised modifications;
  • continued use after damage becomes apparent;
  • allowing others to use the product without communicating these safety requirements; or
  • use in an unsafe location or manner.

This indemnity does not apply where claims arise from defective goods supplied by Jump Rebounding, inadequate warnings, gross negligence or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.


10. Third-Party Use

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that every person who uses the rebounder:

  • receives these safety instructions;
  • understands the risks;
  • is physically capable of using the equipment safely; and
  • complies with this Notice.

The purchaser remains responsible for controlling access to the rebounder.


11. Electronic Acceptance

By purchasing a Jump Rebounding product through this website, you acknowledge that:

  • you have read and understood this Notice;
  • the risk of serious injury and death has been specifically brought to your attention;
  • you agree to follow all assembly, maintenance and safety instructions; and
  • your acceptance remains subject to your rights under South African law.
